Registration is now open and the countdown to kindergarten for the class of 2039 is officially underway. We are excited to welcome the newest generation of LCPS students as they begin their journey toward graduation.
Families are invited to attend the Countdown to Kindergarten Day 2026 celebration on March 26, 2026, at their child’s elementary school. This special event gives students and families the opportunity to meet teachers, connect with school staff, explore the building, and build excitement for the first day of school. Each kindergarten student will also receive a free backpack filled with school supplies to help prepare them for the new school year.
We strongly encourage families to begin the enrollment process as soon as possible. Registering ahead of time helps ensure a smooth start and allows schools to prepare for incoming students.
While staff will be available to assist families who still need to complete the registration, we highly encourage you to complete the process before March 26, so you can fully enjoy the celebration without paperwork delays.
