Parents,
You can set up an eWallet for your child at the website link provided. The eWallet is a cashless way for students to shop. It was successful last year and easy for students. No money to keep track of is much easier for teachers as well. The link provided contains information about the eWallet.

Dear Las Cruces Community,

October is Principal Appreciation Month, and we invite you to join us in celebrating the incredible leaders who guide our schools each day. Principals play a vital role in shaping a safe, supportive, and thriving environment for our students, families, and staff.

We’d love for YOU to be part of the celebration! Record a brief video message telling us what makes your principal special. Your message could be featured on LCPS social media in October as we highlight and honor principals across the district.

Take a moment to say thank you, share a memory, or let your principal know the impact they’ve made in your life. Together, we can show our principals how much they are valued and appreciated.

To record your brief message, click the link and follow the instructions - bit.ly/lcpsprincipal

Thank you for helping us celebrate the leaders who help all learners thrive!

You know what’s awesome? Recess. But many of our playgrounds need upgrades, such as new slides, swings and more shade to keep kids cool and safe.

That’s where the general obligation bond and mill levy renewal come in. These funds help schools improve playgrounds and create better learning environments for our students.

Las Cruces City Council recognized the Veterans Day Poster Contest winners.

Superintendent Ruiz joined the student finalists, and City Council, and committee led by Veterans Day Parade Chairman Bill Hawkins.

The Parade takes place 11 a.m. on November 8, 2025.

Students created posters to advertise the date, time and location of the parade and it helped them learn about the role of veterans of our country.

Middle school students created posters with the theme of "Honoring our Future Leaders."
About 30 submissions were evaluated. The final six were recognized in Council.

The winning poster was created by Serenity Madrid, 7th grader from Mr. Valdez's class at Mesa Middle school. She will have further recognition in the parade and has won a $50 prize.

A big congratulations to all of our finalists!!
